Creating a digital portfolio wasn’t an easy task for me at
all. First finding a site that I found
not only appealing but also easy to navigate was the key. Second, I wasn’t sure what I wanted the site
to portray. Third, where was I going to
get all of the things I have done at the conclusion of my 4th Wilkes
graduate class?
I finally settled on using Wix.com. This was a great choice it had several
options to display my site, which I loved.
Wix was also very user friendly site to access and to create. I had no difficulty link websites, adding
images and text throughout. I would
highly recommend Wix to anyone who is first creating a website for any purpose.
What did I want to include on my website was a difficult
task for me overall? I personally don’t
like to give out too much personal information on the Internet whenever
possible. Especially when that
information can be accessed publically by anyone. So, I went with keeping my site professional
based on works I have completed in my graduate course as well as some help
things I use regularly within my math classes I teach.
Finally, my biggest challenge was compiling as many of my
works I had completed as possible.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been very organized in keeping these items in a
central location. This project has
forced me to take most of these pieces I have created and organize them and
also give me a central location at which to access them for the future.
In the end, this project has been very useful and rewarding
to me educationally. I always look for
ways in my graduate courses to have works that I can use in the future. This project is another example of something
I will get great use out of in the future.
